There were moments I simply could not understand: why so much anger, why so much dissatisfaction, why everything felt like a quiet rebellion. And so, when Suzy's mother says "I love you, but you don't know what you're talking about," the line doesn't feel harsh. It feels familiar. But mothers, too, are human.
